Vehicle Description

History: purchased by last owner in 1976 as a non runner in need of restoration.  A total ground up rebuild was carried out taking 26 years! being completed in May 2002.  The car has been on the road ever since covering 12400 miles in 19 years.

Body: repaired and sprayed by Remington TR/North Devon Metalcraft using new pattern from wings, lower half of front valance, floors, inner and outer sills, door skins, rear pattern wings, boot floor, spare wheel carrier, pattern rear valance, locking fuel cap, new over riders, existing front bumper and grill, interior re-trimmed, seats replaced with bucket type, new hood and tonneau cover, re-trimmed side screens, roll bar, inertia reel seat belts, centre lock painted wire wheels, rack and pinion steering, Mota-Lite steering wheel, Remington TR modification front suspension set up including anti-roll bar with cross drilled up-rated discs and callipers, brakes and clutch master cylinders and break-ins, wiring loom modified and remade together with multitude/relay board, replacement windscreen, re-chromed windscreen frame, boot rack.

Engine rebuilt: new liners and pistons, crankshaft crack tested and re-ground with rear oil scroll removed and oil seal fitted; new oil pump; spin on oil filter conversion; oil cooler; fast road cam; flywheel blanked with TR6 clutch and pressure plate; cylinder head converted to unleaded with new valve seats and valves; dynamo replaced with alternator together with thin belt pulls, stainless steel branch manifold and exhaust system, rebuilt carburettors, re-cored radiator, aluminium rocker box cover, ignition coil, rebuilt distributor, HT leads and caps, thermostatically controlled electric radiator cooling fan with over-ride switch, high torque starter motor

Gear box: rebuilt TR4A type with over-drive on 2nd 3rd and 4th

Rear axle: inspected and checked with new brake cylinders, drums and shoes, replacement lever type shock absorbers with anti-roll bar, replacement springs.
